Big weekend for Parker

Let me start by saying Parker sure is a trooper.  Friday we went to Portland (6 hour car ride) for some time with Henry's family.  While we were down there it was the moon festival. Parker's first moon festival I am sure he will remember it forever ;).  He also had his 100 day celebration.  This is a Chinese tradition to celebrate the arrival of the new baby. It is done when the baby is 100 days old (hence the name) because he is supposedly going to make it.  It was a weekend full of Aunties, Grandparents, and friends.  Henry and I were saying on wed when we got back that we missed Parker. With so many other people around to hold and snuggle him we hardly saw the kid.  It was a nice change of pace for us and was really wonderful to see how loved all of us are, but especially Parker.  Thanks Ester, Patty, Sue, and Eddy for all your hard work all weekend and at the party.  Uncle Moe took lots of great pictures and I will post them when I get a chance.

Parker did so well all weekend.  At his party he was passed from person to person never really getting upset with anyone.  Just happy to go with it.  He slept while we all ate and woke up just in time for everyone to say goodbye to him. I was told that many people we saying "he is such a good baby," thanks parenting classes at FBC!  Have to say I was so touched by the party that I fought back the tears a couple of times.  It is still hard to believe that a year ago we were pregnant (we didn't know it) and now we have such a wonderful blessing.  I keep thinking back to his birth and just what a miracle he was/is.  He was so helpless with all his tubes and cords and today he practically rolled over from his back to his belly.  He is so strong and cheerful.

We drove home on Wednesday and again Parker did well.  He cried some but I expected that between his schedule being messed up, teething, and a very long weekend he was due for a good cry.

I will post pictures when I get a chance. Another big weekend grandpa Dave and Yina are in town. More snuggles and hugs for Parker!
